Common questions about finding hidden cameras
Can a phone app really find hidden cameras?
Yes — with one important caveat. A phone app can pick up any camera that transmits over wireless or Bluetooth, which covers the vast majority of consumer spy cameras sold today. No — and neither can any other wireless tool. A powered-off camera produces no radio signal. If a camera is off, it is also not recording video.
What if a flagged item turns out to be the smart TV?
That happens, and it’s a good sign — it means the system is working.
